2. Patwon Ki Haveli
The Patwon ki Haveli is among the most famous architectural creations of Rajasthan; this is so because of two reasons. First being that it was the first ever haveli built in Jaisalmer and secondly, it does not stand alone but is an elegant complex of five different beautiful havelis.
Guman Chand Patwa commissioned the building of these Havelis in the early nineteenth century. He could afford the extravagance and thus instructed the construction of five more stories for his five sons, which took him around fifty years to build.
Overall, the havelis were constructed across the expanse of the last sixty years of the nineteenth century. This Royal family dealt in strands of gold and silver used in embroidering dresses, jewelry, and fabric.
